(not classic) Mosaic will allow you to print those Composer files, but it is extremely unstable. I can still run Mosaic on my G3 running system 9.2.2. ![]() Mosaic was a buggy mess, and was soon replaced with Performer. MOTU stopped supporting Composer, and introduced Mosaic, which did translate those files. Pdftomusic cost pro#My ability to run Pro Composer ended right around system 8.5 and the introduction of the G3 computers with the Power PC CPU. It's been a year since I last checked, but there was no good way to get Pro Composer files into Finale. I have thousands of files on Professional Composer. I'd bet Performer did the same, so its not certain that a Performer file would necessarily be a SMF. It saved files in a native format, but could also save as a standard MIDI file. I never used Performer, but I did have Opcode Vision back in the early 90s. I might end up having to scan the scores (ugh!) and go from there.Ībout old Perfomer files, aren't they midi files ? We'll have to see about the Composer files. Assuming I am able to get a Performer file off the disk, one the the guys here offered to try to open it with Digital Performer. They are on old 800k floppy disks and I will have to send them to a service that gets information off ancient disks. My first challenge will be to get to the files.
